We are often asked about planning permission at Mendip Conservatories. We aim to make the planning and the installation of your new conservatory as stress less (or stress less) as possible. There are comprehensive guidelines concerning planning but simplistically, planning permission is needed for three following reasons.

	If you live in a terraced or semi-detached property and your conservatory projects more than three metres from your house.
	If you live in a detached house and your conservatory projects more than four metres from your house.
	If your property lies within a conservation area

Our designers and surveyors are fully aware of the details of the guidelines. Should planning permission be required we will happily apply on your behalf.
